El Poblado airport shuttle launches — first ride is free

A new direct van service from JMC, every 30 minutes, 35,000 COP. Our review after riding it twice in one day.

A new direct van service launched this month between José María Córdova airport (MDE) and El Poblado. We rode it twice in one day to see whether it's actually any good.

The verdict: yes, with caveats. Vans depart every 30 minutes from outside the arrivals hall, costs 35,000 COP one-way (Uber from the airport runs 110-140k), and drops you at the Pueblito Paisa stop in El Poblado — five minutes from most of our apartments.

The caveats: they only run 6am to 9pm, the vans are small (book ahead during Festival weeks), and the wifi onboard is a lie.

Full piece with booking instructions, comparison to Uber and the Metro+walk option, drops next week.
